Happy Sunday!!!! I’m so excited about getting back to blogging; my break was way too long. To be honest, I felt like I stop having things to say and that the blog was not fruitful or helpful to others. I was kind of discouraged because this is new territory for me and the feedback was limited. But I don’t think our Father would have blessed me with this platform if it were not useful for His Kingdom. This is what the enemy wants us to think that were not fruitful or being productive or even making a difference. But today is new day and I’m encouraged again to keep pushing on, loving on and encourage others. If the process of life is wearing you down and you don’t feel like your making a difference. You matter and you make a difference everyday. God loves us unconditionally and wants to use each and everyone for His plan and purpose. Have a blessed week everyone and stay encouraged!!

Hitting reset
Hi everyone, I’ve been so consumed with food and the busyness of life. I realized that I’ve been distracted. I hope to get back to at least weekly soon with the right encouragement. When life knocks you down or distracts you. Pick the pieces up where you left off and start again. I would love to see more people come to Christ using this platform the Lord has given me. Have a blessed week everyone!!!!!
Date Night
Date night is not something I get to do often. The hassle of finding a sitter, let’s not forget paying for it and running from work to go on a date. Even thought it may require some planning, it’s crucial to continue dating while married. Anyway we scored free tickets to a movie premiere. But it was first come first serve on a work day. Our sitter cancelled but a friend agree to babysit but later then planned. I arrived to the theatre late and was at the end of the line and I was concerned we wouldn’t get in. My honey was dropping off the kids and I was waiting for him to arrive. I had the tickets and he needed to be there. Mind you this is my first time ever attending a premiere. The line was moving and I finally get to the front and he still has not arrived. Then I was told I needed to wait for him. So I wait and eventually the theater is full they stop the line. Sad day for us right. I was anxious during this process so I closed my eyes and prayed. And something happened the guy said there were some reserved seats and they were fining them away in a few mins if no one shows. My husband arrives it’s the exact time the seats were being released. And just like that we scored awesome seats I mean I got my favorite seat in the entire theatre filled with people. It may seems small to some but my God knows me so well that he went ahead and made a way for us that night. I was so grateful that he cares so much for us that he made a way for us and is so detailed that I was given my favorite seat. That’s how much our Father loves and cares for us. So much even when we don’t even notice or give him credit for what He has done. He will never leave you or forsake his promise to us as his children. Have a blessed week!!!!!
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.””
Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV
Life is so precious
Today I’m really sadden by the heinous crimes that are taking place in America the land of the Free, people losing their lives senselessly. We have overcome so much and still the justice that everyone wants to see is not served. A life is so precious all created and molded in our mothers wombs and given a purpose, a good purpose. Life is so valuable were only given one and a life is a life it shouldn’t matter what skin color or uniform all lives matter. I think as a country people are moving further and further away from God. If true justice is warranted, put down the weapons, open up your heart and pray. He created this world and His word says everything is possible with God. He will fight the battle. Pray for America, especially the people in authority who can help bring change to our nation, cities, our communities and most importantly our children. May the Lord pour out his spirit and empower us as His people to change our hearts and minds. Transformation through His power will bring true change to America.
To the families and friends that have lost someone in the last three days, may the Lord comfort, support and strengthen you while meeting all of your needs.
Happy Father’s Day 2016
Wishing all the fathers out there a fun filled experience with there children and families. Everyday is Father’s Day but make this day a bit more special. Be blessed.
I actually wrote more than the above post and at the last minutes decided not to post it but 2016 is all about taking risk and stepping outside of our comfort zone.
To my father: I’m bless to have a father that has a heart filled with love and kindness. I will never forget the Saturdays you took us to play soccer. The days I would be off of school to work not because you had to but because I wanted too. The Westchester County Fair at Yonkers Raceway and our random trips to city island. I have to admit those are the most memorable times.
To my husband: I’m blessed to have a man that loves his children and for that I am forever thankful. Speak life over them protect them be with them, provide for them and make them know that you will do whatever it takes to make sure their needs are met. Love Jesus more.
To my Father in Heaven: Lord thank you for your love your peace and your joy. I will never forget the day I was filled with your spirit I never felt love or peace until that day. Thank you so much for adopting me into your family even thought I don’t deserve it. For you have given me a life that only your could have created. No eye has seen no ear has heard what you have in for us. I know that. We all fall short of your glory Lord but I pray that you stay in my heart sanctifying me from the inside out. I love you beyond words it’s so deep inside me. Thank you for choosing me.
Tough Times
The struggle is real when your just making enough to to cover the bare minimum especially with childcare expenses through the roof, little left for groceries and some bills left unpaid until next paycheck. I can tell you today that these are the times we feel the closest to God because we know there is no way our needs are being met without his help. There is always a lesson or an experience that’s comes out of the struggle don’t allow something temporary to ruin your smile. Be happy with what you’ve been blessed with in that moment. I’m employed, I have some where to live, running water, electricity and most importantly I’m still alive. To all the single parents, working parents and struggling families don’t be discouraged or lose hope because there is an end to every season. He will never leave or forsake you. He is with you thought ever situation. Lean into his strength and trust that everything is for His glory, he is guiding you. If you don’t know who Jesus is, start by confessing your a sinner and inviting him into your heart. He can change your life and give you a new perspective the truth. I hope this encourages your today. Be blessed and love Jesus.
Romans 10:9
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
Uniqueness
I use to wonder why I looked the way I do and why I talked the way I do? Why are there so many different colors and characteristics of people? Why are some people light, dark, tall and short? I never really understood why we were all created so different before I found Jesus. See, it doesn’t really matter what we look like on the outside because our body is going to die, we are nothing but dirt and dust, which is what we were created from. What really matters is what is on the inside? I know we say that all the time but sometimes it hard to get past the flesh but it’s not impossible Jesus gave me all the identity I need, he knows me so well and sees the things that I don’t. He is working on my heart every morning. We were all made in his own image. ” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27 NIV….Dig deep within yourself and start embracing the “real you” the person you were born to be. So the next time someone calls you different or weird embrace it and say thank you. Strengthen your strengths and allow God to work on your weaknesses. Have a great week!!!! Encourage someone to embrace their uniqueness.
Life and Death
A friend of mine once said what happened to the old Christina. Can you bring her back? You’ve changed. At first I did not know what to say so I said nothing, I should have said she died. To be honest this is the first time in my life that I’ve even been happy, content, filled with purpose and looking forward to a bright future. Why would anyone want to take that away from me? I’ve always looked like I had it all together but truth is I didn’t my appearance may have been together but the “real me” on the inside was a hot mess. I spent most of my energy worrying, crying, scared, depressed, anxious and in real physical pain living in the what if’s. What if this happens or that happens, what if this person says that or what if they talk about me. What if nothing it was a waste of time and energy, an attack of the enemy, which made me believe lies about myself. I was being deceived and did not learn the truth until the Holy Spirit revealed it to me. I’m less concerned about what other people think of me and more concerned about what the Lord thinks of me. Are you struggling with depression, sadness, loneliness, anxiety, low self-esteem or in the what if’s? We are born in sin, God is a spirit of free will and you have a choice. You can choose to continue to believe what you’ve always believed or invite Jesus into your heart to free you from your chains. We are children of the Creator of heaven and earth, I’m alive for the first time, He gave me life because the old me was dead, my heart was made of stone from being so hurt and broken. His love is available to everyone, I shared this because I want others to have the same. You are worthy, we are not alone, you are not alone His arms are open waiting for you to make a choice. Choose a life free from the law of sin and death Roman 8:2.
God’s Not Dead 2
In my opinion, God’s not Dead is a good movie, I had the pleasure of seeing it with my husband. I would have to say the first version was better personally but the second version is good too. The movie is encouraging to believers and non-believers. God will never leave or forsaken you, hold on O Lord and never let go. He always prevails regardless of how difficult the situation maybe. I was encouraged to live fearlessly for Jesus. Invite Him into your heart.
Favorite verse used in the movie:
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Who do you say He is?
Have a great week and stay encouraged!!!!!
A Christmas Miracle Part 3
Finally we arrived in the Sunshine State and surprised my mother in law, she was over the moon excited to see her grandbabies and us. The day after Christmas, my husband and his stepfather were shopping around for a new set of tires and were offered a great deal. They did not realized that our tires were a custom size and unique bolt pattern until after it was purchased. We were supposed to leave on Sunday but had to wait until Monday for someone to cut the bolt pattern into the rims. Monday came and left. Tuesday the bags were packed and I’m ready to go but there was no peace with how much the van was shaking. Brought it back and the weights were off by 13 pounds. Persistent prayer saved us on this trip, we keep hitting roadblocks but I kept believing that God was going to see us through. Philippians 4:19 says And my God will supply all my needs according to his riches and glory in Christ Jesus. Don’t give up.
Here I am unable to provide for my family, unable to cover my expenses and we’re blessed with family for the holidays, money, a tire, a new set of tires and rims and a new perspective on faith. What a miracle? When we returned home I realized that the money we received for the holidays was just enough to cover our expected and unexpected expenses, no credit card required. I didn’t realize this was a Christmas miracle until weeks later but when I did boy was I grateful. God can deliver your from ANYTHING, nothing is impossible for Him, big or small, I had to build up enough courage to step out in faith in order for God to work in my life. Put Him first and He will see you through any situation or circumstance. Put your faith in Jesus today because He saves us and reveals His truth.
John 3:16-21 NIV For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds are evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.
